Blaster CDI or Pulser coil bad?

61x electronics with MSD CDI. I've read the FAQ section on troubleshooting. "Spark as I let off start button" syndrome. Seems to me it did that or at least I had spark but only once, can't remember for sure but I was checking for spark before I read that part. It states it can only be two things, actually three. Bad CDI, Pulser coil or wire connecting to it to E-Box bad. My problem is this: If the motor cools down ie: CDI, Stator and ign coil the spark is back and motor runs. On other motors with a mag I've always known this to be a bad stator. Or in this case maybe just the Pulser coil. I've already switched back to OEM CDI box and getting ready to check Pulser coil voltage. Anyone help narrow this one down before I dump it in the water and swim back to shore.

Ok so I checked Pulser coil, I have 4v AC white/red wire to ground. This is sounding like a bad MSD that is only 4 years old. This is starting suck !

OEM CDI back in, running for several hours now. I have 61X electronics. I've read some things about other CDI boxes being better. Is a 4 yr old MSD an expected life?

my MSD got wet, and did the exact same thing...spark when you let off green button. Would backfire like CRAZY too, put stock CDI back in and it was good to go...definitely sucks!

Have you tried reversing your white wires on the msd enhancer? That's typically what causes the start button spark... Pay close attention to the male/female connectors on the MSD diagram. That's how you know which one goes where.

mine has a male & female on the MSD side with matching male & female wires on the other side...can only be hooked up one way (same way it was originally hooked up and ran awesome). Also when I it went bad, ski wouldnt start, backfired, etc...as soon as I put the stock cdi back in it has ran perfect ever since
