I've had carb problems all season and it's kept me off the water.
So I've budgeted a new carb next month.
The thing is, I'm not sure which one to buy as I don't know the difference between them.
I have a 650 conversion ski and I'm using a 44SBN on it now. I plan to continue to use a 44SBN on it and I want to buy a brand new one.
I'm looking at the carbs on this site: http://www.jet-world.net/partsacc/carbsintake.asp. I'm also looking here: http://www.atlanticjetsports.com/intake_mikuni_carburetors.htm
Neither site really states what the difference between the two of them are - or I'm just blind.
I'm looking at carbs with part numbers "44MM Mikuni #BN44-40-8067" and "44MM Mikuni #BN44-40-8052".
Whats the difference between them other than the color? I see the chart at the bottom of the page showing their stats, but those could be changed by rejetting and changing the spring, right? If thats the case - then whats the difference between them please?
So, here's where the N00b in me comes out. I want the silver one, so it matches the color of my engine.
The question is, does it matter which carb I get? Are they mechanically the same, just with different jetting?
Thanks guys. I hope this isn't a stupid question.
