Can you separate a stock SJ hull?

I was wondering if you can seperate the stock SJ hull for modification purposes? I just looked at that build of the red octane yamaha build i want to do that so bad.

yes the hull can be separated, but only the bottom is still good. The top gets pretty trashed from the prying in all the conversion threads ive seen.

Saw a thread on here or PWC where a guy succesfully separated it with a heat gun to heat up the glue etc. Came apart Nicely

I have done it as well
but i was after the top deck
i cut the bottom off and then prised what was left off with a heat gun
