Can you school me on trim set ups?

Hey all, im a surf rider, I've never used trim before and don't know much about it. I'm starting to really push myself and feel trim might help me get that extra push in my jumps/tricks. I ride a rockered blaster and a reaper, both with limited set ups, stock yam 144 pumps with hooker 9/15 props. Any advice or help is appreciated! Thanks!

in my opinion, trim is only necessary for flat water. I only use trim to make my setup wake and that's it. I've done thousands of backflips off my own setup wake and off boat wakes and I don't pull trim on those flips. I've probably only done 100 backflips in ocean surf and I never used or even had trim on my surf boats. I do barrel rolls and spins too and never used trim on those either. I know a lot of guys that put trim on their superjets and blasters and all it does is get them boner air.

Thank you! That advice is greatly appreciated. If there isn't any surf, i ride flat water and jump boat wake or my own. Sounds like i might enjoy it on flat days, but won't use it in surf. I'm anti boner air! Haha. Nose stab or nothin!

i use my trim all the time in the surf, a fixed steer could really use trim as a big helper getting over big white wash and even just getting those rolls and nose stabs more inverted.

I use my trim every time i go over a wave that just broke, it really helps get the nose up and over the wash with minimal use of my arms to lift the nose up.

I use thrust ez pull, but really i think any brand will get the jobs done.

Thanks! I'm looking at buying a CATS trim to try out and see what i think before taking the more expensive ez pull plunge.
