Cali bound again...

Is anything happening ski-wise in SoCal (or anywhere in Cal) on Memorial Day weekend...specifically on Memorial Day? No time to send out any pm's. I'm suddenly flying out on Wednesday the 21st and returning on Tuesday the 27th.

Understood…I received a call today that PB was to have 15 footers on Wed (which prompted me to return one week earlier than planned…I SO wanted to see that myself), but it looks like a windswell is going to slop it all up with exception to a few specific breaks down that way sadly. If it stays clear, and I miss it for flying out one day late only to catch the holiday…I’m going to be bummed (but just for a bit I’m sure)! ;)

Currently doing a Weekend Cali Surf Dance while in Florida! (I heard it’s always much bigger up North when it’s big in SoCal)!!

Pamela...r u an E.J. on for this??? Andrew??? Stan and Rochele??? Who else will be there?

We will be there. Andrew and Taylor will not. Im bringing my ski this time. Been doing alot of river riding. See everyone there we are having PISMO withdrawls.:barrel:

Cottage Inn was full, but then called me back with two cancellations, so I reserved both simply to hold them as an option for people…a blasted expensive option unfortunately due to the holiday. I have until Thursday to cancel. If anyone is interested in slumber party to “save money”, this is what they have:

One King Ocean view (which I nabbed), and it can hold a rollaway bed.
Friday rate is 259.00
Sat/Sun rate is 329.00 each night

Double Queen non ocean view
Friday rate is 199.00
Sat Sun rate is 269.00

Seriously doubt anyone is interested (I’m personally hating it), but I simply didn’t want to sleep in a rental jeep again myself, if I can actually make it up to Pismo. Let me know, or I’m cancelling at least one of them for sure. Already threw the Pismo trip idea out to Cody in PB, and awaiting a yea/nay. I’m probably heading up Saturday either way (depending on surf and what not). Any other options available, please advise…no time to go hunting for a good deal here!


And bummer Andrew, but wish the newlyweds well!

After last minute flight arrangements, car rental, and the hotel...yes, I'm kneeling already, but will be worth it I know!

Well this is getting interesting/so I'll share…I’ve been informed by Cody he’s bringing his surfboard (in a challenging tone), lol,…mind you that this is after he informed me while in PB last time that I “WASN'T ALLOWED” to ride my ski at PB (laws…to which I can’t repeat what I said). But to the the Pismo/surf comment, I said sure, whatever!

He simply didn’t realize the operative word was “bringing”…he didn’t say anything about riding it…AND, I’m not commenting on it until we get about an hour north of LA,… ha HA! (maybe 30 minutes away actually…so I’m not stuck in the jeep with him for long afterwards!) I WILL, at that point, mention he can get in the midst of everyone, and you might consider attempting to dodge him on rare occasion!!!

We should be easy to spot, just look for two dorks with a surfboard tied down to the top of a jeep, lol! I don’t recall seeing any surfers up there last time…someone please tell me they aren’t allowed…it will make my day! If not, we can pretend, lol! :fing02:(He’s converting anyway…simply doesn’t know it yet!!)


Can’t leave San Diego until late Saturday morning/afternoon…returning Sunday night unfortunately, but it will be great to see everyone! Pamela, I’ll give you a shout on Saturday. Someone tell Jerry if he’s showing, he has to leave his underwear at the house, but he can bring the dog (isn’t that awful sounding without the video, lol). And tell Cuong he better not show and bend over a ski, or I’m snapping the pic and posting it to the feminine-boy's site (I’ll be on a mission to get that shot, so if he's brave...:lmao:)!

Still doing the Cali Surf Dance down here!!!

Suz, we will see Jerry on Friday morning we are going to stop at his house then ride. Will pass the info on LOL Yes there is pain in the butt surfers who always get in the way. They stay usually between the two gates comming in. See ya Sat.
