Broken tabs on metal nozzle

I have my pump apart to swap impellers and I noticed there's 3 broken tabs on the metal portion of the nozzle right after the jet veins. It's not on the plastic steerable nozzle but on the metal portion right before it. Are these tabs important for good flow or menial. Wondering if I should replace it while it's off. Thanks.

I am sure it's there for a reason.If it rides well I would keep it like it is if it brakes fix it. If it doesn't ride good fix it .
