More importantly than the cable itself is the adjustment. If your steering stops aren't set properly, you'll break any cable. Not saying that is your problem but that's often the problem.

Last two times I've had steering issues, I kept the ski running and used my legs and arms to steer me while kneeling in the tray. It's not great but better than swimming.

Blowsion has an aftermarket beefy cable for the SXR. I have it on mine and it is much thicker than stock.

It's not cheap though, but does come with heim style no-slop joints for both ends.

And +1 to the adjustment being the most important part of a steering setup. You NEED your turn plate to hit its stop before your steering nozzle comes to the end of its travel.

I was just expecting it to be adjusted right... but id guess your right! ill have to check...as the cable broke from being extened too far/pulld apart.... so adjustment has to be the problem!
