broke bolt on my relay...HELP

Dunno how it happened but my bolt broke off on the starter end of my relay. Am I screwed and have to buy a new one? or can I just take the other bolt off, drop 2 washers in its place and bolt the starter cable back on??

I would just add a washer and bolt the cable down. Might want to use some loctite.

What's the worse that can happen ?

holy ******** this same thing happened to me and my buddy while we were troubleshooting no spark

we went to the local shop and said you cant buy just that bolt.....71 dollars for the relay and wires and then the bolts

luckily he knows a guy that runs a huge machining and he had a worker make an exact replica of it in an hour.........

so maybe have a machinist make one for you

You can buy the solenoid post(bolt) from hot products.
You can also use 1 off any 650sx, 750sx, or sxi they are all the same

What he said, the posts come off and are replaceable. I think I have a couple of the kawi relay posts at home. Shoot me a PM if repairing it does not work and I can check.

One of my 650's did that a few years back. I used washers and bolted it back on. No problems so far.

I broke mine off of the 750sx years ago too, it will still work.

adjust the washers to fit, and go ride.
