Breaking in a top end

Since i live no where near a lake... I was wondering if i could put my new kawi top end through some heat cycles on the water hose using the flush kit? Good idea, or not?

nope. It needs to be under load. Besides break in doesn't take that long. I just ride it around without beating the snot out of it. After a tank, let it rip!

Why? I've always warmed up/cooled down my motors a few times then rode the piss out of them. What's the point of taking it easy after warming, cooling and retorqueing?

Oh ok. Glad i asked then. I just didn't want to throw it in the salt for the first break in session with the new work.
