I had an idea this evening and figured before I putt too much time, money and effort into exploring the possibilities, I'd run it by you guys.
First off.
There is the running debate between footholds vs. Straps. That, coupled with the argument of the footholds giving a wider platform and therefore more stabillity from the wider stance. Blah, Blah, Blah...
At any rate, my "idea" is to remove the "tray" from the equasion entirely. I'm thinking take a swawzall cut off the sides from the tray all together and glass them over and make one full width platform where the "tray" used to be. then add straps.
I cant think of any reason it shouldnt work. But, I havent been riding as long as some of you have, so before I proceed any futher, lets get some ideas going.
WHat do y'all think. is there really any reason to have the sides of the tray other than Thats how skis have always been?
