300/440/550 braces

Are the metal braces for a js 440 worth it? Or would it be better to just add some fiberglass when I pull the motor add side exhaust and repaint this year?

I think they were more for bling than anything. I never owned a 440/550 but I made a custom set for my friend's 650 SX. They turned out pretty nice. The ones i saw on eBay recently were WYY TOO MUCH! Call jet trim in AZ. I bet they still have some!

Those hulls were actually bad about cracking there,they do help but I would not spend a bunch of money on them.

So wouldn't doing some glass work fix it just the same

I'm repainting, new mat, footstraps, and side exhaust below the waterline

I was planing on reinforcing the hull at the same time.

i would go with the braces. you can find them cheap and metal wont crack as easily as that fiberglass. imo
