boat wake-rolls--> how do you hit?

I am trying to do rolls off boat wakes from the recreational boats and ski nautiques and stuff.... I let the boat go by which is usually towing a skier or a tube (I let it go by for some distance to be safe) and then catch the wake that it made -->maybe like 50-100 yards behind the boat. I go the opposite direction of the way the boat went...

Is this a good wake to try barrel rolls? I am getting 1/2 to maybe 3/4.... (no video yet to see how far I'm really making it....)... I am trying to hit the sections of wake that are steaper (kinda pointy on top) rather than the ones that are like more rounded on the top...

How do you approch a larger wake like this?

Do you still do a big prehop?

Do Not Jump Any Waves If The Boat Is Pulling A Skier, Tube, Or Anything. There May Have Been 2 People On The Tube And One Has Fallen Off And You May Not See Them. Guess Who Is At Fault If That Person Gets Injured. You.

yeah good point... I'll practice more on my own setup wake in place of the boats towing people... so what about boat wakes from boats not towing someone then?

you just have to play with them to see what works. Sometimes I will hit them coming from left to right (going in same direction as the boat), but because of the way you hit the wake, more on your side, it can kinda throw you funning not getting as much height as you need.
