Not sure what happened but I took my ski out yesterday and it just died. No compression in the front jug. Took the head off and the piston, jug and head are junk.. I'm looking for a motor..Any recommendations? Is there people to be trusted on this site or ebay?? There are motors for sale everywhere. I just want to buy one from someone reliable. I found a few on ebay from robjetskihaven. They look like racing engines.. If I go that route I'm gona need a pipe and carb also. right? Any help would be great..

There are services where you can send out your current busted engine and they'll send you a re-furbished one in exchange. My google fu is failing me but they're out there.

Alternatively you could find try to find a TS 650 on craigslist for cheap and pull the engine. That's the route I went. Most people let them go for cheap. As an added bonus you'll now have an extra back up e-box & pump set up. But you can't use the exhuast, intake, or plate with x2/sx. Sell them on ebay, the intake grates seem to be pretty rare.

i would advise to not buy a used engine. either rebuild yours yourself or send it it for a reconditioned one. i definitely would not buy one off craiglists. you may be able to get away with buying one from a reliable jet ski shop because they have a reputation to worry about.
