blocked waterbox - grrr

Several years ago, my waterbox was rattling, so I chopped it in half on a bandsaw and had the internal baffle tubes rewelded.

I think 2 years ago when I refoamed it was rattling again, but I didn't worry about it since they are on the inlet half and theoretically should never really block anything.

I was wrong.

I bought a Jetcraft Turbomuff off a Kawi 750 to try out, so tonight pulled my box to see how it's going to fit, and noticed my waterbox wasn't rattling anymore.

Looks like one of the baffle tubes is wedged under the inlet SIDEWAYS.

That has got to hurt my power. Looks like I'll be putting the Turbomuff in before I ride again.

Yeah, just a lot of little things. Throttle cable, coil, starter, solenoid, grips, waterbox, cracked hull, bilge pump, battery.

I had them on both my 550 and 750 in the mid/late 90's. I spent many a night in the garage between those Turbomuffs, greasy, sweaty, ah the memories.
