As far as hood, top deck and bottom deck, is a B1 SMC or fiberglass?

Any recommendation on body/scratch filler and paint? The simpler the better, besides a rattle can job. Thanks

Both sections of the hood are SMC which makes it just about impossible to get anything to stick long term. Bottom and top deck are hand laid fiberglass, so the stock finish is gelcoat. Bondo will work fine for a filler on any minor scratches and dings. Fixing major or structural damage should start with epoxy and glass or filler, then cherried out with bondo. Sounds like you don't want hear my recommendation for paint so I'll leave that for someone else.

It seems lots of blaster are getting some paint this winter...

Stay away from Bondo period, at the least use a marine grade filler, 3M makes an excellent one

The best is of course epoxy and microballoons, US composites makes the best fairing compound I have used to date. Part #SM-FC010

I primered mine and rattle canned it and it came out looking not to bad considering I only spent 20 bucks!!!
