blaster bogging...

Hey guys I'm having another problem with my blaster. I took care of the problem with the engine running away on me. Thank god a carb rebuild took care of the problem and my crank seals hadn't gone bad.

Now the blaster is bogging really bad. If I idle for a while and I go to give it the gas the ski boggs really bad. If I throttle it and give it a few seconds it will eventually get past the bog and run fine.

Its a 96 b1 with a stock 62t with a Factory Limited Pipe and aftermarket flame arrestors. I don't know that much about carbs so I couldn't tell you what the jetting, low speed, and high speed adjustments are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. A friend of mine thinks it has something to do with the screw settings on the pipe. I haven't messed with them becuase I am guessing they are locked up becuase the guy before hadn't touched them in over a year. I'm going to need some of those aftermarket screws with the t-bar. I forgot who sells them on here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pardaddy sells the oversize screw kit. It works kick azz, I put a set in one of my head pipes. Your bog sounds like the carbs are a little lean in the low speed section. Try turning the bottom screws on each carb out 1/4 turn. Were the carbs rejetted when the B pipe was installed?

I have a similar setup with a similar problem.
However I have a riva red pipe and DUAL cooling. The dual cooling for me delivered way to much water to the stinger and water box. If I idle up or brap the throttle and dry out the waterbox the response is great. I still need to reduce the water flow at the stinger.

Put new plugs in, see if that fixes the problem. If it does not. Run in at the Rpms where you are having the problem then shut it down. Check the plugs and see if you are running lean or rich.

sounds like it loads up on fuel. feather the throtle when taking off from a long time idle. one time the carb just got worn out where the throtle plate seated. changing the flow.
put new plugs like cracker said.
