Custom/Hybrid Blaster 2 pump in a blaster 1

i will be building a blaster up soon from bits off a blaster 2.
i was wondering if the pump unit would fit and would i get any gain from this? i will be using the ski in the surf so looking for bottom end really

Forget about it...pump hull inlet does not feed enough water to that 155mm pump...A friend tried it and it failed big time....

From what I hear the 155 pump is desirable with an 1100 engine swap, is that just for impeller choices?

but with the 1100 it gets enough water into the pump of the 155?

You can fit a B2 pump in a b1 with some work of coarse. I would only do it if you plan on swapping a 1100 or 1200 engine into the B1. There is an informative thread on pwctoday on how to install the pump. You will need to press out one of the B2 pump bearings and install one of the B1 pump bearings so the stock driveshaft will slide right in. There is more to do. Best to read up! I may tackle this project someday with a conv.
