Bilge Pump Bracket Question

So . . . how does this Rule500 mount to this bilge pump bracket?

Which bracket do you have? Most are setup to either screw or rivet the pump's strainer onto the bracket, then the pump clicks into the bracket.

BTW, my wife is out for the night, all 3 kids are in bed, and I'm watching Who's Line is it Anyway, pretty lame for a Friday night eh?

Yes, pretty lame.

I am making Tuna Helper cheesy tuna pasta for me and Mrs. Sho trying to figure this bracket out. The body of the pump won't fit past the little metal tabs on the sides. Should I just grind them down?

I had to on a new one but not on a used - it may have already been done.
