I need a way to attach a hose to a 3/4'' fitting and 1 1/8'' both. Where should I look for a ''reducer'' like that?

¾” to 1" fitting in McMaster Carr #53415K136. I think ¾” to 1 1/8” you will have to make one up or the easiest way would be getting a bilge with 3/4" outlet from Wal-Mart.

Can I just wrap electrical tape around the bilge fitting and then zip tie the hose to it?

I bought 2 500gph pumps from walmart yesterday, the atwood ones. I looked in the bottom of the ski and found the base to what I thought was the atwood model already epoxied in there. It turns out it was for the Rule 500gph version. I'm getting a Rule 500gph to sit back in that base and the rule 1000gph one for the center between the engine and fuel tank. There are already matching 45* fittings in the front of the tray that shoot neat arcs of bilge water. I bet it will shoot really far with the 1000gph version of the pump

I would say take back the 1000 and get another 500. If I remember correctly you have a scupper valve so you really don't even need 2 pumps. I hardly ever use my pump because of the scupper.

Ok, then take the 1000 back and install another 500 or just don't use one of the fittings in the hull.

What kind of scupper? oneway check valve or flapper type (24/7)

FINE. Mark, you win. The local advance auto parts only had the 500gph version. I was going to wait until I drove through Springfield on my way to lake of the ozarks and get the 1000gph one, but I'd rather actually let the epoxy cure for at least half of the time it's supposed to.

I'm still going to get the 1000gph one for my other ski. It has no scupper and only 1 500gph bilge pump.

IMO the 1000 is still overkill.... normal riding only calls for one 500, if that.

Doesnt it look cooler shoooting out of the 45* bilge outlet at 1000gph though?

On a side note I noticed testing them side by side that the atwood 500gph seemed to suck water down to a lower level. It may only be the difference between .25'' and .4'' but it was significant I thought.

Thats because your getting a 1500GPH

Just get two 500s and you wont have any problems. Witha scupper and two pumps...you'll be more then okay
