Best way to get to Shreveport, LA

Tomorrow I have to go to Shreveport, LA for a funeral.

Is the best way to get there from Houston just going to be going 59, or is there some sort of top secret route of I-10 to something heading north that I don't know about?

that seems to be the quickest way unless you take 10 out to beaumont and up 96
