Best way to dock a ski

Grandma just bought a house on the river and right now it has just the wood dock but I think we are adding the plastic dock as well. Question is anyone have a good way to "dock" the ski. I'm thinking an aluminum ramp that can slide and drop with a winch.

Cost me $700 to build my double ski lift, carpet bunks, lockable. Something like that may work for you.
