JSS doesn't rebuild them. Unless you've done it a time or two, I strongly discourage rebuilding one.

I have had nothing but trouble with aquatorque starters,to the point that I had to stop using them altogether.I have been getting starters from Discount batteries starters online and have had good luck with them so far, also they have rebuilts and the cheapest prices on new starters that I have found. They are one of the big sellers on EBAY.

stay away from GOKI's. personally, i ahve had nothing but troubles with them.

we have been using MES brand here, ( from hot products) for many years, in customers skis, and have had no troubles.

i also have a good used OE here from a freshwater 62T if you want.

JSS does rebuild them .I've talked to him about it .

No one has a brand of AM starter they've used ??

So have I.

This was a couple weeks ago, and he said he doesn't normally do this. He will if you really want him to, and he sells the parts to do it.
But it's not a regular service.

Just going by what the man himself said.

there is a guy on ebay that sells bendix's from Mistuba which is what comes stock. He didn't carry the starter though. I needed both a bendix and a starter and risked buying them both off ebay. They both have a year warrenty and have worked fine so far.

id rather buy a crusty old used oem starter than an aftermarket starter.

"goki is a jokey"

The starter I have is very old and crusty and rusty .I can't believe it still starts .
Honestly for $400 I would NEVER buy an OEM
I got a very good tip on an OEM starter brand new for cheap .
Thanks to you know who you are :bigok::bigok::bigok::bigok::bigok:

Just call RIVA and get the OEM replacement that they sell for about 199.00.

IT IS MITSUBA brand...same as OEM and it has SM 13 12V stamped in the back. (same letters that the OEM unit has)

So,.... get an OEM for 200.00.

I tried the EBAY one and sent back to the guy since he told me it was Mitsuba and it wasn't.

Aquatorque is also a Mitsuba. I compared the one I got to the stocker and they had all the same markings.

I wouldn't call Riva for anything .The prices are way higher than other OEM dealers and they screwed up the few orders I have placed with them .
