Super Jet Bad Starter?

can anyone tell if the starter is bad in my superjet from this video. or could it possibly be the solenoid.

sounds like your bendix is not engaging...

moisture in front cover causing a sheen of rust on bendix making it stick or low volts/amps will spin it...

Sounds like its turning but slow I would say yes but I cant tell on my phone if the pistons are moving or not

your relay also ticked a bit before sending current to starter...what's your voltage and condition/type of battery ? sounds like spinning bendix only, motor is not turning over.

thanks for the replys everyone i bought the battery new last year and charged it last night. it's a 12 volt battery

did u keep it on a maintainer charge ? those sulfate and ruin the plates from discharge.

IMO... next time get a AGM battery for that stock ski...like a Deka 9etx...great battery for aprox 65 bucks.

just tryin to help...been doing this stuff for 13 yrs...live n learn.

Do you have something to check the precise current voltage on Battery ?

i just hooked the charger up to the battery and tried starting it, and the crank turned over a little, so its definitly the battery. i'm going to get one of those AGM batterys like you said, since it seems like i go through a battery a year.

A bad starter will also drain the battery pretty fast making one believe that the battery is the culprit. Just something to keep in mind.
