Anyone ever try and just use the water screws to cool the chamber and hoses, my drypipe only has the one small restricted fitting and it does just fine. I figure with the top and middle screws open about 2 turns each it should be enought water, and give great bottom end.:smashfreakB:

Eh....the water screws are not there for cooling per say. They provide, in effect, a variable length chamber.
If you try to use them for cooling the chamber, you'll end up with less than optimal performance.
The stinger water fitting is for providing water to the waterbox, and to some extent, for cooling the chamber a bit.

The drypipe does fine because it is fully jacketed.

My point, wetter=longer=more bottom. I have issues with too much water and run a 170 main restrictor now with the pipe fairly dry.(top 3/8 out)

I def wouldnt recommend it. My friend is running a wetpipe minus a stinger right now. I believe dry pipes run even hotter. His gets extremely hot. Far too hot. If he holds it above 1/2 throttle for more tehn 15-20 seconds smoke starts coming out of the hood. Its a mixture of steam and the melting of the rubber straps holding the waterbox. They turned white and are about to snap. It will def blow something up if he doesnt fix it which he plans to do this weekend. Just get a flow control valve. It pretty much is like having no stinger except for when the pipe needs it.
