Super Jet B-pipe and siphon bilge, very confused

I recently bought a 99 superjet w/701 with what looks like the wamiltons performance kit installed. Something I noticed, besides the multiple hose clamps the previous owner neglected to tighten (long story), was that the siphon bilge hose is ran straight into the bottom of the exhuast manifold. The water line is also run into the bottom of the exhaust manifold on another fitting. I'm wondering if this is correct, I read the install instructions from the factory pipe website and saw nothing mentioning this.

So should this siphon bilge hose be on my exhaust system, or did the guy that put it in think that the siphon bilge is another water coolant pick-up?

If it IS NOT supposed to be there, should the water line be split into the each fitting on the bottom of the manifold? Or should I simply block off the line from the siphon bilge.

If it IS supposed to be there, should the normal anti-siphon loop still be there to prevent water from backing up into my system when just floating?

The old owner converted it to a dual cooling setup. As long as the clamps are tight, it should be good to go. :bigok:

If you grind the siphon tube in the reduction nozzle flush, then it works in reverse and will pump water.

Thanks for the quick reply! So right now is the second line (from the siphon bilge) not technically pumping water... So should I grind that tip in the nozzle flush? And will that affect any of the water regulation downstream?

You'll need to visually inspect the (stock siphon) line running from the bulkhead and see where/how it connects into the pump section.
I have not done what OCD suggested in using a ground down reduction nozzle tap before. I have drilled and tapped the stock pump in the unused location of the stock cooling fitting location, opposite the one already in use.
That worked for me.

I would give that a closer look, it seems odd to me the old owner would go so far and not have it functional. Post up a pic if you can.

Ill be sure to double check it, but I wouldn't put it past the guy. The ski was never ridden after the mods as far as I know, it needed a tune desperately (shocked it even ran at all on the trailer) and still did not have the msd enhancer installed. Add ontop of that the loose hose clamps and I'm pretty sure this could have been overlooked

Couldnt really get any clear pics inside the hull, but the hose runs straight from the siphon thru-hull pipe to the bottom of the exhaust manifold.

Now could I just split the stock water line into the two fittings on the bottom of the manifold (since its only getting water from one line now anyway) so that I can hook my siphon bilge back up? Its just a little piece of mind always having that small amount of bilge effect

Sounds like a good plan to me. I think dual cooling is over rated anyways and most guys do it more to add a mod to their list than for the actual benefit of it.
