Argh more stress, Help !

Hi guys, had my weekend cut short today after a days good riding, good swell over here at the moment. Just washing ski when i opened the hood to discover black soot, just what i need i thought. First looked like a split water box but with closer inspection its the crankcase. doh.
My question is why ?
Fresh built 760 61x with about 20 hours on it, pessure tested 10 psi when built so any ideas why its failed, mabe stop it happening again.

? crank seals, why do you say it's the crank case what did you see that led you to that idea

It was the crankcase in the end, guess you dont have the excuse to get that water box now, Gutted mate how bad was it, and were abouts, was it near the mounts or was that a whole seperate issue,

At least you got to play in the swell

give us a bell tommorow about the CDI dude

Yea the engine cradle had come loose and there was a grey slime/soot around where the cases join. Crank seals were new and were clean, no signs of leaking.

Only just, was SO NOT in the mood when I got home, just went back to bed :biggrin:

Il have a bash tommorow at sorting it, it blowing a gail up here tonight, soz I dint pop up the shed but I was knackered plus I cant leave this new dog on its own or it'll eat everything
