Are Modern Plug Caps Smaller.... ?

Guys , one of my plug caps split so I ordered a pair of the same part no (NGK LB05EMH). They are similar , same colour , waterproof but more compact than the originals and the part that pushes down over the plug is 1/2 inch shorter... If I install same do you reckon I will have any problems , or are they just the new improved version.... ? Thanks.

I would pick up some MSD Plug Caps and just replace both.
