infamy, how do those buckshots work? How were they to tune? Ive got a set of dual 44 buckshots and have been weary of using them because I've heard much from engine builders/tuners that they are a nightmare to tune...

I had to modify my fuel tank a little bit. I heated a portion of the tank with a heat gun and pushed it in.
I also removed the ribs on my hull - not necessarily to clear the pipe, but it helped.
I don't remember if I dented the chamber or not.

Matt any performance gain between this and a SJ mod chamber?

I can't say. I didn't run otherwise identical setups where the only difference was the chamber.
I went from stock motor to stock motor with the Blaster mod chamber, then to a Speedwerx pipe with home-ported motor, then to my current SJ mod pipe on various motors.

i got the ski with the blaster chamber & buckshots on it. i ditched the chamber and put a sj mod chamber on it instead. it didnt really look like it took any customization to get the blaster chamber to fit. after i took it off i noticed a small (lke 1 inch round) dark spot on the take where it had rubbed. either denting it in or a little turf could have prevented that.

as far as the buckshots go, ive never messed with them. this ski is my backups backup ski..lol

I just received a new mod chamber from Art at Jetworks. I noticed that it is welded in the middle unlikle some others? Can anyone tell me why this is?

FPP changed their production techniques on the SJ chambers over the years. That's why some mod chambers have weld lines and others do not.
I don't know for sure that's the reason in this case, but it is likely.

here you go a small dent near the tank and flaten the side where it hits the hull use a dead blow hammer and you are good to go just run it dryer than a superjet chamber and they rip i loved mine

whats the perfomance benefit of running a blaster mod chamber over a sj one?

or is it just cosmetic?

I really dont know the true answer to your question, but Moonies ski has power all the way across the board. Just off idle to wide open, NO jerky powerband. It does not kill my arms like my dry pipe does.
