Niece is an amazing artist. Has won multiple art contests etc. Can paint a canvas and you would swear it was a printed picture. Anyway she is interested in learning animation and graphic design. Hoping people here have some experience and can recommend free/basic software for a beginner. Bonus points if it runs on Linux. I would like to put together a laptop for her with the software etc all ready to go.
