Other any riders near International Falls, MN?

Researching an opportunity near International Falls, MN and just wondering what the standup situation was like around the area. I see Lake of the woods is only an hour and a half away...sure would be nice to have a riders map for stuff like this...

I'll be glad I held onto my drysuit and all my snowmobile gear, thats for sure.

There isn't very many standup riders up that way (that I know of, I probably know 80% of the riders in MN). Quite a few guys ride Duluth,MN often and Brainerd but I do not know what kind of standup crowd there is north of that. There are also a few guys in Fargo. Honestly International Falls sucks, it is a quiet area, not much to do. Why would you consider going from SC to MN? You Canadians are bass ackwards.

I was afraid of that.

It's complicated but the move would be well worth our while and just another step in my 5 year plan. It would only be for 2 years and would be staging for another opportunity. cough, cough, New Zealand, :biggrin:

It's all flatwater there, (frozen the other 6 months) so I may have to upgrade to a Matrix Pro and hand the ES down to the Wife. :bigok:

We will have to see. So much can change between now and then. Did you finally move down to Daytona? You were from MI previously right? Forest Park, MI?

Forest Lake, MN but yeah we are in Daytona now. I have been to international falls probably 30 times (mostly just driving through). Come down this way sometime so we can ride.

We decided to pass on the job, it was a great offer for work but we just couldn't see ourselves living there for more than a couple years and for that, what's the point? I have a great job now and we have a really nice house in Charleston that would cost us twice as much or more for the same house in any of these little po-dunk towns they seem to like building mills in.
