i would probably epoxie down the bond line inside the tray walls to stop water getting in through the bond rail and give a bit of strength.
you say one hour for foaming, when i used it for footholds it kept expanding for hours on end. wouldnt this just blow out the fibreglass panels?(i have experience, i blew up a foot hold doing this!)
and also, i have had to take a foothold out before and it wasnt good, it damaged the flange where the foothold sticks to because i glassed and p40ed it down so well!
should i just hack it out bit by bit?
