My buds in region 3 are wanting me to race my X2 at the Tastin and Racin event. They have the sport class, and want me to join the 2 other X2's on the line with some blasters and HX riders. They are even willing to fork out the reg. fee to get me in there, anyone my age ever try it? I enjoy surf and freestyling around most of the time, and just not sure about running bouy's and getting smoked. I honestly just don't know what to think, one way or the other.

Paul (Jr. Magoo's) is that age or slightly more and out there pulling backys/rolls with the best of them. Age doesn't matter, attitude and conditioning do.

I stopped racing c/c at 39
Sarted racing endurance on a stand up at 41
won the novice plate in 03
The race was a 90 min race 2 days in a row kicked my arse.

GO RACE AND HAVE FUN:biggthumpup:

I used to travel to some races with this crazy ol' 51(at the time)Vietnam vet. He raced his GTX Seadoo in Novice class.
The X-2 will take a lot more endurance than a GTX.
I say go for it! You try it once and you'll be hooked.

Well, it was fun and I'm glad I did it. I probably won't run again, I'm more interested in doing some freestyle next year, just need to build the boat for more bottom end.
