All carb needles the same?

I am not for sure, but I thought they were always to be used as a matched set and not mixed. I am sure one of the carb gurus can clear this up.:dunno:
 
i believe theyre all the same and its just the orifice thats a different diameter.

they should stay as matched sets as in dont put a needle that was used in a 1.5 seat into a 2.0 seat because the tip will be worn for the 1.5 already and may not seal properly.

if we are talking new needles and new seats, i dont think itd make a difference.

a popoff test could easily tell, id imagine.

Just as S-rider said, as long as they're new, yes they are the same if they're OEM Mikuni replacements, Most Yamaha OEM's from stock carbs ARE different, as the needles are Stainless and not aluminum!
Alway's check and make sure you don't have a mixed set as they weigh different and will affect fuel pressure when running at speed.
