ADA Girdled Head - single cooling

Im just in the process of installing a new ADA Girdled head on my SJ, keeping the stock exhaust until I can afford a B Pipe. Rest of engine is stock too.
Question is which cooling outlet is best to block off when using single cooling? rear or front? or does it not matter? Im guessing the water flow is pretty even in the casing so it wouldn't matter....but Id hate to be wrong.

If so get some ball valves and restrict it
