Blaster 93 Blaster starter issue

Ski would not start. I could hear clicking at the relay in the electronics box, but starter would not engage. Test showed 12v at starter post.

Upon opening starter I found the metal post connecting the positive terminal to the two brushes was broke. See pics below.

fix or should I just replace the starter?

You should replace the starter. Get a good used one from jetmaniac on here

You can buy a kit on ebay since you have it apart . i have done several now

I've never had good luck rebuilding them, but maybe I'm just a klutz.

Damn. I pressed out the old needle bearing set and installed the new ones. Now the cover won't fit over the starter shaft. Im gonna have to return the kit and try something else.

I was recently in need of a new starter and after researching on here the best option was ordering one from Jetmaniac. People seemed to have mixed results with the rebuild kits and most people said stay away from the non-OEM starters. Several stories here and other places of them going out after 3 or 4 rides. Plus there was the sticker shock of a new starter.

Jetmaniac hooked me up with a clean, used starter. He's got just about everything. Excellent doing business with him..............plus he's local.
