SX/SXi/SXi Pro 92' 650sx - Best Intake/Rideplates?

This past year I bought a fairly abused 92' 650sx. The stock ride plate is broken at the end. I am planning to purchase a used ride plate as well as a intake. Any suggestions on which I should buy?

For the most part, I ride small lakes and enjoy messing around learning how to freestyle. I have issues with cavitation with the stock intake, but I am worried about the performance of a 'scoop'. Just would like some information on the pro's and con's.

Also, porpoising. Will a longer ride plate fix that, without costing me the ability to 'slide' and mess around while turning?

Thanks in advance.

i run a jet dynamic scoop grate, and a Stock D cut ride plate, it keeps the nose really high. I did run the Jet dynamic extended plate and it was great for carving, and high speed!

I have a R&D scoop intake grate and Ocean Pro rideplate with the little skegs on the bottom. Keeps it hooked up pretty good. As far as the sliding, I've shortened the hull 2.5" so it's pretty effortless to slide the back end. An extended rideplate should eliminate some of the porpoising. I put a shortened roundnose pole on mine which moved my center of gravity to the front of the tray eliminating all porpoising.
