300/440/550 91 440 transformation

this is my first ski.. bought it in april 2010 out of charleston SC.. it was a stock 91 440 that had a 550 reed engine swapped in with a short jetsport pipe and rogo head.. over the last 3 years, i have transformed it into what it is today.. im sure many will ask " why do all this to a 550 that isnt worth anything??" well since its my first ski and prior to purchasing it, i knew nothing about jetskis other than i had to have a stand up.. plus, because the hulls are soo cheap to come by, if i mess it up, replacing it will be easy.. after learning to ride it the first season i wanted to start improving its handling.. now with the pics..

Decided to keep it a 550ci boat because i kept running across rare performance parts upgraded the engine to a PJS Viper 7000 engine that i added dual SBN 38s to.. found a factory full pipe with the water injection screws, jetco extrude honeed 440 pump, op reduction/ turn nozzles, westcoast 6gal tank, shredmaster surf intake/plate combo.. shortened the rear 2 inches, made my own tubbies, front foothold and molded a kicker on the rear..

finished product! built a 10x10x8 foot spray booth in the garage with a 20x20 box fan with 3 a/c return filters taped together and a one more filter in the center on the opposite side to let air in.. worked beautifully!
