Super Jet 90 Super Jet Coffman Exhaust Plumbing question

Newbie checking in with a 90 Yamaha Super Jet my son recently bought. 62T case with a 61X top end. Previous owner installed a Coffman Exhaust. I think it’s a Sizzler. I’m pretty sure the plumbing is incorrect. Main water line off the pump goes under the exhaust manifold and appears to go to the main exhaust chamber. The water feed to the head appears to be coming off the exhaust as well. It just doesn’t appear that the cool raw water is getting to the block first. Flush tool is tee’d into the raw water feed going under the exhaust manifold. It would appear to me that the raw water is primarily being blown out through the exhaust. And what little water getting to the block is minimal at best. On the Flush tool, there seems to be enough pressure to push water to the motor.
In terms of performance, starts and runs great on the hose. Put it in the water and it bogs immediately. No pisser but we get steam. I’m thinking that the motor is trying to seize from a lack of cooling. I have snaked the raw water feed back to the pump as well as ran air through the hose, and its not plugged
Two questions:
  1. How can I confirm this is the Sizzler (Hoping we didn’t just miss the clear labeling)
  2. Does anyone have a diagram on how the cooling should be routed?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The main line from the pump goes to the exhaust mani, then the water goes thru jug into head and from head fitting into the front of head pipe, the fitting on the back of head pipe goes to nose cone.. the pisser can be t'd off of that line.. I hope that makes sense!

Quincy & Silverbullet - Many thanks for your quick and informative replies. I sincerely appreciate it.

Silverbullet: Your reply makes perfect sense. Going out to check it now.

Quinc: I had done some searches prior to posting but 'Plumbing' wasn't the best keyword, it turns out. :--)
I saw the link you sent and downloaded the instructions. In addition to your link, I found the following.

Now that I have some good information, I think we can get this ski going. If we eliminate the water routing and cooling as an issue, I'm going to look at the carb and the jetting. Previous owner said the ski ran good but he had just done a lot of work to the engine. I'm wondering if post-engine work, he had this bogging problem and just gave up.

Thanks again!
