Hi guys, been gone for a while.
So i stated my 650 striping today i got the ski for 100$ plus a good trailer. i found a hornets nest, a beer can holding the old reg papers. and orginal dirt from 1988.
in the process I found that all three of the water tubes the run from the pump cavity to the engine compartment where so old and dried out that they broke when i pulled the rubber hose off. i still cant figure out how to get them out to fit replacements also i had to cut the steering cable due to some rust in the covering along with some other defects in the cable. is there any thing special i need to do to get this done.
I've thought about splitting the hull and doing stuff that way. this sounds like the best option to me. i will be able to clean out all the foam. reinforce the hull and fix what needs to be fixed. but i respect what the vets have to say so lets hear it what would you guys do.
i've put some pics of the ski im working on here so you guys can see what im doing

I dont plan on putting to much into my 650, its just the ski i learned on (the actual one) so i'm keeping it for my kids to learn on. and for people to ride when i go out.
either way i need to get the stuff out i have the ski stripped down to nothing.

i wouldnt split it...just clean it up and make it rideable..you should be able to access everything w/o spliting it ...no reason to polish a turd just keep that one running for the kids

They're glued in from the inside...I'm trying to think of a way that you can cut the glue w/out widening the hole too much and still leave the end of the tube so you can get something on it to pull it out. I thought you may be able to use a drill and drill a hole the size of the tube but you wouldn't be able to pull out the tube to replace it very well. Possibly using a dremel w/ the cutting bit around the tube. On mine the inside of the tube sticks out about 4-5 inches. if you can cut the glue on the inside, you could just push the tube out the back so it sticks out enough to get the hose w/ clamp on it and still have enough sticking through the firewall to get your cooling hose on it. Just a thought.
