760 Intake Manifold on SJ

I've got a set of OEM 44s and 760 inatke manifold to run on my 61X BB and noticed the throttle linkage and cable mount are on the opposite end compared to the stock 38s. Didn't have a chance to mock it up yet but is the stock SJ cable long enough to reach to the other side or do I have to move the cable mount and reverse the carbs?

Take the time to pull the studs on the manifold, then use allen head bolts. Makes pulling the carbs much much easier.

If you are using 62T cases you'll need a square nose throttle cable because they are a bit longer then the round nose cable.

Yeah, its an '06 SJ.......so I'll definitely need a a SN cable to make it work?

Yes, unless you have a -4 pole and -1 turnplate which then will just make it.

mine is -4 and it makes it with the cable bracket making it come in from the top. just barely. :scared:

mine makes it w/ -2 pole, and a -2/5 turnplate

Mine works with a pole about -3 and short turn plate - im using the cable holder from the 38 mani so that might give some flexibility

I just ended up rotating the carbs and mounting the 38 cable stop on the other side.

The cable ended up reaching no problem to the 760 cable stop bracket with a -3" stock pole.
