Custom/Hybrid 760 64x donor motor for AM hull?

I'm helping a friend buy an aftermarket hull and donor boat to complete the build. It is on a pretty tight budget to start but was thinking about using a 760 from a waveraider?

A couple questions: Crankshaft and cases appear to be same as a 62t motor (they are 64x designation)?
Electronics are different, is this a big deal? I think I've read you can swap it all over to 62t but how much needs to be changed (flywheel, stator, CDI, wiring harness??)
Cylinder is a 64x, how does that compare to a 61x that's been bored out to a 760?
Aftermarket heads and pipes for 62t motors will bolt up?

Any other red flags to NOT use a 760?

We could look for a 701 waveraider; wouldn't have the stock 44mm carbs off the bat, but would have 62t electronics.

Go for it, I used a wb2 with that engine for my RN and was very pleased. Ditch the electronics for some 62t electronics, you will need to swap all or nothing. You will need a head specifically for a 760, mainly b/c of the dome size. Cases are the same as 62t, they just have dual pulse lines. 61x cylinders are more desired b/c of port timing and some will argue that the 760 cylinders and oem 44s are garbage but I will disagree. You can send the cylinders out to be ported and have this corrected.

What will the after market hull be used for? Stock for stock the 701 will have a better bottom end hit, but the 760 will have more HP. Right now I am building a 760 but it wont be stock. Many say go with the 701. A 760 is sort of a budget big bore and if done right some say it will hit just as hard as the 701 and have the extra HP. not sure about the heads bolting up, but the pipes will if you put timecerts in the cylinder to run the smaller bolts. (the 64x uses 10mm bolts instead of 8mm) or drill out the manifold bolt holes CAREFULLY!! As for the electronics im not sure. If anyone sees anything im not right on here let me know this is all based off my own experience.
