Now I know a superjet would be a better choice over a 750 for freestyle but there pretty hard to find near me. So I was wondering if its worth getting a 750sxi and building it for freestyle or is it just gonna be a pointless money pit and I should just wait for a superjet to pop up?

This a 750 close to me I was thinking about picking up... http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/boa/3155851017.html
Let me know what you guys think.

I like my 750sxi pro setup for freestyle. It may not be as good for freestyle but it a better rec ski. you can blaze around the lakes or rivers a lot easier on a 750 than a SJ. IMHO, I never got on the sj wagon. to each his own I guess. The ski your looking at has a good amount of work done to it that will save you major coin and get you started easy. needs footholds and your good to go

I agree with sxipro02. I had one and as a lake/river ski it was great. The hulls tend to slide and are not great for straightline fast performance like an sxr or dont quite have the versitility of the SJ. But you will be pleased regardless. The Dual carbs and power adders do help the ski pop out of wakes and leave it nimble enough to control. I did not get on the SJ wagon either, They are hard to comeby as the popularity is very high, the footholds well help you throw it around regardless fo engine mods. good luck

Top speed stability is a issue with the sxi but tubbie 2's and a ride plate help.

Good luck with the purchase. just remember, any ski is better than no ski :)

Thats the first thing I planned on doing is tubbies and it already has a pretty good ride plate, next thing would be a R&D Aquavein intake grate

yea buddy, make sure you get the newer style grate with the three fins. I have tried two other single fin solas and a older r&d and they didnt hook nearly as well. makes a huge difference in corning and straight line performance

I bought a 98 sxi pro this past spring and overall it has been very dependable. I also like the fact that this guy shows the compression. It is one of the first things I look at mechanically.

i have a 93 750sx with just a foctory pipe with some foot hold and i can do a barrel with that on the flat water i my self would never get a super jet its not that there not built well i just dont like the way the feel and it seems that everyone that gets a sj has to put a bunch of money in to it. my next ski probably will be a 800sxr

Im not saying you cant do it but I would love to see it. Iv spent a sh#t ton of money on mods and It wont be pulling off any flat water rolls

sxipro02: i'm a little skeptical as well, but you have to recall that the SX isn't the same hull as your sxi pro. Lighter, and more suited for freestyle.

Rev Clown: congrads on the new purchase
