i thinking of getting rid of my stock waterbox on my 750sx. i have been told by several people the kawis don't even need the waterbox, however, i want to possibly change to a aftermkt. then i spotted this:

i know someone that has it, but it has'nt been installed on anything yet. its actually pretty stout and the craftmanship is pretty good. i was thinking of getting two 90degree bends (either aluminum or rubber hose) and trying to mount it in the same location as the stock waterbox. any thoughts, suggestions that could help would be great. i emailed the guy and asked if they could weld 90's on either end but have not got a response. i do know a local welder that would do it pretty cheap.

btw my 750 is 1mm overbore, factory b-pipe, a/m intake manifold, 48 or 50 mm line bored carb. also some very light porting (just cleanup).

i would say you could definetly weld to it. that may look like something i might want to pick up for my sxr. anyone know if it does anything to quiet it down>> how would be it in comparison to a TDR waterbox?? whats that fitting for also what woud you hook that up to??

sorry but i think i am gonna buy it cause thats what i have been looking for. and i mean its only 50 bucks, if i dont like it its not a terrible loss.

I have a smaller waterbox than that and mine isn't that loud at all. If you can find a jetcraft engineering that is one of the best. The other one that is good but VERY rare is a Butch's. I have this one, the "waterbox is a section of 4" aluminum pipe that is only about 6" long.

That being said, you should run some type of box, if anything for a little backpressure.
