750sx no start

okay so scenario,
Last summer all summer ski would only start n water. wouldn't start out of the water at all. has spark has fuel ran great once in water but would not start on the trailer. this year took it out for the first time and it hits and tries to start but no go. still wont start on trailer now also won't start in water. any suggestions on where to look? power and fuel everything checks out, I have yet to check the reads which I was told may be the issue by a friend with 2 stroke experience.

so screwing with it last night if I block the air intake totally she fires right up and then has a high rev idle. so my guess is air leak.

or pop off is too high. I raised mine and it wouldnt start with out choking out the air supply. I had to go down to 21

never messed with the pop off. just got the ski end of last year it rode well. ill look up the pop off. thanks man I appreciate it.

Pop off wouldnt change on its own so you might be on the right track with a air leak. check both the crank seals and the water purge on the case. By a block off for the case purge, their cheap on ebay. Id also pull the carbs and check for clogged filters, torn diaphragms, clogged jets ect... It would also be a good time to look into the reeds while your so close just to make sure. I have a stock set in cages if it turns out your are bad. Only other thing that comes to mind is bad compression from a scored cylinder.

sweet man I appreciate it will check the list. I thought reeds as well but they inspected good last night. the other issue that makes it scream air leak is that it starts just fine once it is warm. no choke needed at all. and this is 100% stock ski. still has oil injection and all. (I know I know)
