SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750sx gap in between pump and pump shoe

I'm new to the 750s and I was installing my pump last night and I noticed a small gap between the pump seal and the pump shoe. It's very small. I can see light through it. Is this normal?

It can be on 750's yes. I usually move pump shoe back to pump and/or fill in shoe cavity

I used epoxy to fill the back side of the pump shoe and then a little more to smooth out the transition between the shoe and the pump. might be overkill but whatever
