300/440/550 750 electric issue

started the ski earlier & it sounded Fn Great. even started it a couple of times over baked house. got it home & now no spark until I let off of the start switch. I don't have alot of time this weekend to work on it. Anybody have any idea what this could be? I have a spare cdi & a spare stator, but not sure where to start... I want to ride sunday.

stator coil assy.

we see it all the time here.

when you do replace it, add an extra ground wire from the electrical box, to the eng ground where it mounts down on the starter.

yes. form what i remember, the early 750's had weak grounds, and too small of wires.

i think it was lou at butch's who told me to do that little trick, ( many many years ago). i always jsut add an extra ground, just for the heck of it.

this is a 550 with a big pin 750 in it. I have the cdi & silinoid mounted in the 550 box with an externally mounted coil. I also have a ground running from the box to the intake manifold.

late but heres my 2 cents

I had the same problem....I charged the battery and was fine....the 750 electrics are very sensative to battery voltage!!!!:scared:
