Super Jet 701 vxr 62t

I want to put this motor in my kids 2002 SJ. Will the oem electronics from a 2002 SJ be compatible with the 701 VXR 62T if I were to just drop it in?

Elecs will work on either engine , but you will need a matching flywheel for what elec you run. So if you're running a 62t motor with a 61x ebox, you need a 61x stator and flywheel

That is a 61x engine in the pics. The single carb and cases are a dead giveaway. FYI

yeah i dont think the old vxr's came in anything but 650's or sgl carb 701's (61x).

looks like a clean motor though. drop it in and rip it up!

Thats what i would do. The 61X flywheel is lighter than the 62T and you dont have to do any swapping. You may have a little longer wire loom and spark plug wires, but no big deal. Plug and play.
