701 trouble

today i was riding my fx1 ( all stock) and if i was going full throttle some times it would just slow down about 10 miles an hour and then pick back up no bogging, by the end of the day it just wouldnt hit top speed like it was held back, any ideas

Probably needs a carb rebuild but could be things like a clogged or dirty fuel tank air filter (water separator), old fuel, clogged fuel filter, old plugs, corroded plug wires... Could be a lot of things but luckily most are fairly cheap and easy.

not a bad list. i favor bad plug wires.. sp if their oem.... been there!

Sounds like a fuel tank vent issue, I had that same problem and the vent l ine was kinked.

Does it still have the overheat sensor? Thats exactly what my fx1 did when I had a waterline clogged.
