701 stock bore

whats 701 stock bore and how much can it be bored to? my 96 blaster needs new pistons cause they go jacked so should i have the cylinders bored at a machine shop then order pistons? never done a rebuild so any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Stock bore is 81mm. Not sure what cylinder that 96 is...I think that's a 62T. I believe you can take that up to 86mm.

i heard cause its a 62t case 61x cylindar but not sure its twin carb.....thanks for the info

If it's a 61x cyl, max safe bore is "supposedly" 84mm. Some builders question that, some don't.

do you have to resleave it to go to 84?

You don't "have to". Again, opinions are split. Lots of people run it that way.

at 84mm you have 1.74mm bore left
the 1050 seadoo race engines have just under that and they run fine
