701 domes on 760 cylinders?

What would happen if you ran 701 ADA domes on a 760 cylinder?

The mechanic who is assembling my engine said "it'll work fine. Don't worry about it. "

Should I be nervous about this?

Not 100% on this but what size domes? You might get some pretty big compression numbers.

Hmm....701/ 81mm and 760/ 84mm bore = 3 mm difference and I would be worried...

Your ADA 701 domes have a .015" squish relief with an 83mm diameter and the 760 domes have an 86mm diameter.

If you're on the stock bore size with that cylinder there will be less than a millimeter lip around the edge without the extra .015" gap.

I'd recommend having the dome edge turned on a lathe especially if it's larger than the stock bore size.
